Installing EV chargers in Surrey homes
Surrey’s housing is varied, and that affects how chargers are installed. Older properties in towns like Guildford, Farnham and Dorking can have consumer units deep inside the house, long cable routes and solid walls. Newer developments often have consumer units in garages with short, simple runs to the driveway.
Properties with long gravel drives or detached garages — common around Cobham, Esher, Oxshott and Virginia Water — may need underground cabling to a post-mounted charger. We plan for all of these in the survey.
